This is super fun idea from many Maine weddings that we were a part of this past season. It is the perfect way to end an evening. It works great at venues that have indoor fireplaces such as Cliffside Lodge or outdoor fireplaces at venues such as Kingsley Pines.
.
Start gathering long sticks a few months before your wedding. If you are going with a birch theme, gather all birch sticks. Make sure that each stick is at least 24” long. These can be displayed in galvanized buckets, antique milk cans or long baskets depending on the style you are going for.

One bride created individual packages with chocolate and marshmallows and tied them with a raffia ribbon. She displayed them in an old wooden box next to the roasting sticks.
If you are going for a more contemporary feel. Gather different clear glass containers in various heights and shapes. Create labels with a monogram and tie to the containers with grosgrain ribbon.
Be creative with your ingredients. At one Maine wedding we created a S’mores bar with different types of chocolate chip cookies, peppermint patties, and several types of chocolate. The results were fantastic.
