Belle Fete was part of a very special wedding reception that took place at
The Cliffside Lodge in Poland Spring, Maine. The beautiful bride called to begin her wedding plans the day after she got engaged, so we were truly there from the beginning.
The bride was going for a very clean, modern look. Her colors were navy blue and white.
The couple wanted delicious, homemade, non-fussy food.
The evening’s menu:
Stationary Appetizer Display – Fresh fruit and vegetable crudite served with a fresh lemon pesto goat cheese dip.
Red wine and herb marinated grilled chicken and beef kabobs
Garlic roasted red potatoes
Pasta primavera
Cucumber and tomato salad
It was a magical evening and everyone had an amazing time.
Double Platinum Celebrations
Finding the right D.J. can be difficult. We are always on the lookout for D.J.’s that are dependable and professional. We worked with Pat from Double Platinum Celebrations at our May Cliffside Lodge wedding and were very pleased with his work. He was early and organized. The Bride and Groom were very happy and all of the guests danced and enjoyed themselves.

Belle Fete worked with a client to create a Maine Farmer’s Market theme party. The client was hosting a conference for scientists from around the country in Portland, Maine. Many of the guests have never to been to Maine before and we wanted to highlight the best that our state has to offer.
We created a menu around what can be found a the local farmers market. We used local
Pineland Farm and State of Maine cheeses and served them with a variety of crackers.
We made a red pepper and roasted garlic ailoli as well as an herb boursin to be served with the fresh vegetable crudite.
Local sausages and cured meats rounded out the menu .
The highlight of the evening was Chef Carter’s lobster martinis. For many of they guests this was their first time eating lobster.
Here is an amazing idea for anyone looking to create a show stopping display piece for their wedding or special event.
We created a structure that allows us to hang curtains and chandeliers. It is portable and can be used for both inside and outside events.
Our client wanted to create an exotic Moroccan feel for her birthday party. We chose to use golds, purples and warm pinks. The top was covered in gold fabric. We hung a Moroccan lantern in the center and used shades of golds on the stationary appetizer display.
The wonderful thing about this structure is that is can used for any type of event. For a country style wedding we could hang cheese cloth tied with wild flowers and hang Ball canning jars filled with candles.
For a more modern theme, crisp clean fabrics can be used along with a mod light.

I just wanted to say thank you, again, for everything that you did for us. Jason and I both credit you with making our day the wonderful day that it was and with creating some of the best memories for us. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, and it’s been great that you’ve been there, involved in the process, from literally day one of this whole adventure.
