Belle Fete was asked to cater a special event for a major retailer with Maine hunting and fishing theme. The client asked us to highlight fish and meat that is indiginous to Maine.
We created the following menu:
- Jerky station using locally smoked meats
- Venison skewers with a blueberry sauce
- Homemade Maine smoked trout on homemade crackers
- Smoked wild turkey sausages with mustard in puff pastry
To create a tablescape that would emphasize the Maine woods we used various sizes of round wood as the platforms for the food. We created food signs with natural colored papers and attached pieces of pine trees to them.
The simple design allowed the natural elements to speak for themselves.
The use of color is one the best ways to give your special event your own unique twist.
For a very special corporate holiday dinner we used two shades of purple on the table. The darker color as the base cloth and the lighter contrasting color for the napkin.
Playing off the colors with the decor in various shades of purple and silver really make the colors on the table pop.
It was awesome. Fantastic food everyone is still raving about it. Service was great too.
And the farmer’s table display was a great addition! THose cherry tomatoes were the best I ever had.
And that chocolate dessert was ridiculously good. I had like 5!
Thanks for helping to make the trip a highlight of the conference.

Belle Fete worked with one of our corporate clients to create a very special event at
Aldermere Farm in Rockport. The client wanted to say thank you to a very special man for his more than 40 years of service and dedication. The event took place right on the farm in their gorgeous Victorian barn. Aldermere Farm is known for their Belted Galways, a special breed of cattle, raised right on the farm. They wanted us to create a casual farm menu that featured Aldermere Farm steak.
